#1338 I owe £1250 in a credit account to a bookmaking firm. should i declare this as another debt in the staement of affairs? I ask because these debts are supposedly not enforceable by law. D o they count as unsecured debt?

#1340 You should definitely declare it, and let the OR decide if it's enforceable or not.

Good luck. More gambling related questions coming in every day.

#1505 This debt of honour thing is not as easy as it appears is it? I'll bet somewhere - excuse the pun - that you have agreed it will be repaid. The honourable thing really was when aristocrats played games for high stakes. Bookmakers are canny creatures - there is no way they would lend money as such if they couldn't get it back! You know what they say - the bookie always wins :(
