PayPlan reveal new research showing how a breakup can affect your finances as well as your lifestyle. £1,275.30 – that’s how much the average person ends up in debt following a breakup according to their new research.

Parents are burdened with more debt on average than those without children for the first time. Our new findings reveal that those with one or more children now owe £17,755.89 on average, over £1,000 more than those without any children, who are £16,659.19 in debt on average.
