Our awards success is continuing this year after being shortlisted for another three, this time at the prestigious Credit Strategy Credit Awards.

Shortlisted for Business Continuity of the Year

The first award we’re up for is Business Continuity of the Year for the way we continued to provide the same high level of support to people who needed debt advice – whilst ensuring our employees had a safe working environment – during the pandemic.

Danny Hillery, Nationwide’s Senior Manager, Supplier Management: “PayPlan, throughout the pandemic, provided the continually high level of support and service to our members, ensuring access to free debt advice services at a time when people needed it most.

“Continuing to provide this service at such a high quality as everyone including themselves adapted to the effects of Covid-19 is testament to the commitment and dedication of the team at PayPlan. A fantastic job as always.”

Shortlisted for Debt Advice Provider of the Year

The second award we’ve been shortlisted for is Debt Advice Provider of the Year.

This recognises the way our team has worked during what has been a very challenging time – and under difficult circumstances – to continue to provide debt advice and support to those financially affected by the pandemic.

Rachel Duffey, our CEO, said: “In what’s been a challenging 18 months, the teams have worked tirelessly to ensure we adapt and innovate to meet the changing needs of our clients.

“Economic uncertainty has added a huge pressure to them, so flexing our advice to deal with furlough, higher rates of job loss and increasing vulnerabilities has been vital.”

“Both these awards highlight the outstanding efforts of each and every one of the PayPlan team during the past couple of years and I hope we’re successful on the night as they thoroughly deserve the recognition and accolade.”

Shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year

Lastly – but by no means least – our Partnerships Development Manager, Iona Murray, has been shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year.

In just four years, she’s built a strong reputation across the industry and has been instrumental in transforming creditors’ digital debt advice journeys for customers affected by the pandemic.

Iona also played a key role in launching the support service we now offer to housing associations – and the delivery of our market-leading Referral Hub to all creditor partners.

Peter Munro, our Partnerships Director, said: “Iona’s an outstanding individual that we’re very lucky to have here at PayPlan.

“The pandemic has seen unprecedented demand for PayPlan support from creditor partners and Iona has risen to that challenge magnificently over the last 12 months.”

The ceremony is taking place on 14 December in London.
