#62442 A year ago I moved to Southern Ireland leaving my Uk debts of about 10,000 behind me, i get letters and ignore them and I thought I could do that but in my head I am terrified and think one day some one will turn up and take me to prison, I know I have to deal but I just panic.
Ive seen on here the payplan thing but I only earn £150 a week, can they help me.

#62444 If you give them a call, I'm sure they will be able to help you.

Also, If you havent already done so you really need to get some professional advice.

http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/ - A very good free and impartial service which can advise you with you particular situation.

Either way, you will not be going to Prison, so dont worry about that, you are not a Criminal, and its not a Criminal Offence!!

#62452 Hi Shoelaura.

Hi there and welcome to the Forum,

Unfortunaly debts can now be chased worldwide, more so if you move to another europena country as many creditors have recipricol plans in place.

I wouls suggest as a startin gpoint giving one or more of the following a call/email and see aht they can suggest.

http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk - A very good free and impartial service which can advise you with you particular situation. Plus free Phone

http://www.payplan.com - A free and impartial service which can offer advise and liase with your creditors, they run a range of schemes.

http://www.cccs.co.uk - A national Charity again offering free and impartial advice, plus a range of schemes

Now I dont know if SOuthern Ireland has a debt sdvise service, or CAB but if they do it will alos be worth contacting them, as thogh you may only be a few miles away across the water, SOuthern Ireland is a different country and as such they have differnt ways of dealing with these types of problems.

If in the meantime you have any other questions, please feel free to ask, and we'll so our best to answer them.
