#205185 Hi all, I have had money probs for some time now and have been thinking/in the process of going BR.

To recap, i have left my mortgaged property, before they kicked me out. I now live in a rented place.

I have had some great advise form the forum, i have just received a letter from the court for a repossesion order.
Now, i am not bothered about the house but a few questions that are niggling me.

Do i need to contact the Mortgage/their Solicitor?
Go to court?
What are the consequenes of not going?
How would it effect me going BR?

All help welcome

#205270 My understanding of having a house repossessed is that it doesn't effect your bankruptcy as long as you have not signed anything (from the lender) agreeing to pay any shortfall. I don't think you have to do anything (e.g. go to court), but maybe check with CAB or National Debtline.
