#472342 Hi have 13000 pounds of unsettled debt over 7 diffrent creditors loans, phones and card bit stupid as a youngster lol,, but my question is why can I still see these on my credit report after 6years from there default dates I av had no contact or excepted any acknowledgment of these debts,,, why are they still there and how do I get them removed???? Cheers for any upcoming help

#472345 The debts stay on the credit file for 6 years from the date of the legal default which is on your credit file as it should state when the default was made. It can take a month or so after the six years to fall off but you can certainly write to the credit reference agency if the default date on the file is more than 6 years old. Check those dates on your file!
