#298873 Does anyone know if it is possible to lower the payment on a charge , if we could lower it , this would make life more comfortable , we are considering asking payplan to lower the payments because we don't have anything left at the end of the month .

#298923 As per a normal CCJ you need to request a redetermination hearing, which the creditor will either bleat like mad about or ignore!

#298963 If you are paying the charge through Payplan they will not just reduce the payments - you will need to apply for a variation as per normal (their legal document handling department would do the paperwork for you but you would need to pay the fee). The creditor is not generally going to object because long term he will get his money as it is secured.

thanks sarah, i realise this as we have lowered the payment plan and the charge stayed the same, we will see how the business goes, today was a brilliant day but we are not open tuesday and that puts our week out by 200 quid just for one day plus we have to pay for the stall that day so we are out of pocket for the jubilee
