Access to Learning Funds (ALF)
Previously known as the Hardship Fund, ALF is money made available by the government each year to universities to provide additional support for students who are in financial difficulty.
The full rules on eligibility are complex but awards are made to students facing difficulties meeting their living costs whilst studying at the University of Manchester.
